As Nigeria gears up for the 2027 general elections, the National Chairman of the Labour Party (LP), Julius Abure, has reaffirmed the party’s commitment to supporting the South-East in its quest for the presidency.
Speaking on Sunday at a rally organized by LP members from the South-East ahead of the Abuja Area Council election, Abure emphasized that the party has no regrets about zoning its 2023 presidential ticket to the region. He praised the industriousness and unity of the Igbo people, stating that they remain a formidable force in Nigeria’s political landscape.
