Lagos State Shuts Down Five Orphanages Over Baby Trafficking, Rights Violations

The Lagos State Government has shut down no fewer than five orphanages in the past year for offences including baby trafficking and breaches of the State Child Rights Law of 2015.


The Commissioner for Youth and Social Development, Mr. Mobolaji Ogunlende, made this known on Tuesday during the 2025 Ministerial Press Briefing, held to mark Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s second year in office.
