The legal team of human rights activist and former presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore, has berated the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) over a statement it released detailing what transpired when the activist was detained.
Papers News reports that in the statement released by Force Spokesperson, DCP Muyiwa Adejobi, the police dismissed claims that its operatives broke Sowore’s hand, claiming that the activist came with a bandage when he honoured the Force invite.
Reacting in a statement issued on Saturday, by Sowore’s legal team and signed by Tope Temokun, the counsel rejected the police force’s August 8, 2025 press release as a tale of contradictions.
