For Anambra-born actress, model, and beauty queen Jennifer Ephraim, acting isn’t just a career, it’s a lifelong calling. From childhood days in her church drama group to informal stage performances, she has always been drawn to the art of storytelling.
“I’ve always been fascinated by telling stories and sharing life lessons through acting,” she said in an interaction with newsmen in Abuja on Tuesday. “I want to be that screen goddess every director delights in working with—someone who interprets roles perfectly and remains a favourite with movie lovers.”
Jennifer’s journey into Nollywood began early—her first movie debut came at just 12 years old while she was still in secondary school. Now, at 23, she has already featured in several films alongside some of the industry’s familiar faces. Her recent works include Second Wives, Love and Desperation, Odogwu Finds a Wife, The Waiter, Love in a Fix, By My Side, The Good Husband, Finding a Perfect Wife for Dad, and Flames of Love, among others.
Fondly called “Queen Jenny,” the August 23, 2001-born starlet holds a degree in International Relations and French from the University of Adonai, along with certifications in Human Resource Management, Project Management, and Customer Care Relations. She further sharpened her craft at the High Definition Film Academy, completing a professional acting course.
Her reign as a beauty queen also earned her a place in The Beauty Queen Hall of Fame in Lagos—a recognition that added another feather to her cap.
Beyond the screen and stage lights, Jennifer is passionate about giving back. Through her non-governmental organisation, the Jennifer Ephraim Foundation, she works to empower underprivileged individuals, orphans, and widows, helping them secure a better future.
Driven, talented, and deeply rooted in her purpose, Jennifer Ephraim continues to prove that for her, acting isn’t just a profession—it’s a way of life.
