There was mild drama at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, on Friday as British Airways denied 58 passengers boarding on its Abuja-London flight due to a faulty aircraft door.
The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) said the decision was taken as a standard safety measure to keep certain seats unoccupied.
Papers News reports that the Director of Public Relations and Consumer Protection of the NCAA, Michael Achimugu, confirmed the development in a post on his 𝕏 handle, explaining that the safety defect forced the airline to limit the number of passengers.
