‘Unpaid Entitlements’ – Shaibu Drags Edo Govt To Court, Demands Billions

Former Deputy Governor of Edo State, Philip Shaibu, has filed a lawsuit against former Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, and the Monday Okpebholo-led Government, demanding billions.


Papers News reports that Shaibu is demanding unpaid allowances and entitlements due to him during his tenure as acting governor and deputy governor between 2016 and 2024.


Sources told Papers News that to compel the government to pay the said entitlements, Shaibu has approached the National Industrial Court, Abuja, demanding payment of his entitlements and allowances including a request for over ₦85 million allegedly incurred as medical bills for his wife, Maryann, between 2016 and 2024.
