AMAC makes U-turn on Radio-TV taxes for residential houses

Chairman of Abuja Municipal Area Council, AMAC) Hon. Christopher Maikalangu, has directed the immediate reversal of the controvertial radio and television tax on residential houses within the council.


The council said the decision follows widespread concerns and outcry from residents who expressed dissatisfaction with the new levy.


A statement by Senior Special Assistant on Media and Public Affairs to the Chairman AMAC, Kingsley Madaki, explained that the move was a demonstration of the administration’s commitment to listening to the voices of the people and ensuring that policies reflect the needs and welfare of the residents.
