Speaking in Ibadan while meeting with representatives of the motorcycle/tricycle unions, the state commissioner for Public Works and Transport, Mr Abdulmojeed Mogbonjubola, said that the enforcement of the order would commence immediately as soon as the deadline expires.
According to him, after the deadline, any operator seen without proper registration or the official reflective jacket will be arrested and sanctioned in line with the state’s transport laws.
He stated that the new regulation will guarantee proper identification and improved safety for both commuters and operators.
