The Senate Leader, Sen. Opeyemi Bamidele (APC–Ekiti), has reiterated his commitment to ensuring that the 37 local council development areas (LCDAs) in Lagos State are recognised as full-fledged local governments in the Nigerian constitution.
He recently made the pledge during the inauguration of major projects in the Odi-Olowo/Ojuwoye LCDA of Lagos.
According to him, the constitutional recognition of the LCDAs would surely pave the way for enhanced governance and accelerated development at the grassroots level; therefore, it has to be done.
