A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Joe Igbokwe, has accused Nigerian traders of fueling the continued rise in food prices across the country, despite what he claims are improving economic indicators.
In a Facebook post on Saturday, Igbokwe, a known supporter of President Bola Tinubu’s administration, alleged that traders are driven by greed and are deliberately refusing to lower prices, even as statistics suggest a decline in the cost of food items.
