Speaking during a monitored interview on Channels Television, Governor Sani recounted the drastic turnaround in the state’s security situation since he assumed office in 2023. He said parts of Kaduna that were once considered ungovernable—particularly Birnin Gwari—have witnessed relative peace, allowing residents and visitors to move freely without military escorts.
“In the past, places like Birnin Gwari were under siege. You couldn’t go there without heavy security cover. Today, we can go without even a single escort,” he stated.
