Former President Muhammadu Buhari has called on governors elected under the All Progressives Congress (APC) to place the needs of Nigerians above personal or political interests. Addressing the Progressive Governors Forum in Kaduna during a meeting held as part of Eid-el-Fitr celebrations, Buhari emphasized that true leadership must serve the people first.
Speaking through his spokesperson, Garba Shehu, the former leader described governance as both a challenge and an opportunity, urging the APC governors to lead with integrity and purpose. “Leadership is not about self-preservation—it’s about service,” Buhari said, stressing the need for accountability and ethical governance.
