Abbas Takes Over As Chief Of Naval Staff
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Monday held his first closed-door meeting with the newly appointed Service Chiefs, charging them to raise the bar in the fight against insurgency and insecurity across the country.
The four top military officers, General Olufemi Oluyede (Chief of Defence Staff), Major General Waidi Shaibu (Chief of Army Staff), Air Vice Marshal S.K. Aneke (Chief of Air Staff), and Rear Admiral Ibrahim Abbas (Chief of Naval Staff), arrived at the Presidential Villa around 4:00 p.m. in a black Mercedes-Benz Sprinter van, piloted by a green Toyota Land Cruiser.
