China has issued a strong warning to countries negotiating trade agreements with the United States, cautioning them against striking deals that come at Beijing’s expense, as tensions continue to rise in the ongoing trade war between the world’s two largest economies.
In a statement released on Monday, China’s Ministry of Commerce said it respects the rights of all nations to resolve trade disputes with the U.S. through equal and fair dialogue, but firmly opposes any agreement that undermines China’s economic interests.
