Jennifer Chukwujekwe, an interior designer and founder of the Jenniez School of African Interior Design, has made history by becoming the first Nigerian appointed President of the African Confederation of Interior Designers (AFCID).
According to a statement seen by BusinessDay, her appointment was ratified during the group’s General Assembly on June 20, 2025, in Yaoundé, Cameroon, by AFCID Patron Rosalia Arteaga, former president of the Republic of Ecuador.
Chukwujekwe, who is also the creative director of Jenniez Designs and the past President of the Interior Designers Association of Nigeria, said her leadership would focus on transforming the industry.
