Court Dismisses Emefiele’s Bid to Reclaim Forfeited Abuja Estate of 753 Units

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) High Court in Apo has struck out a motion filed by former Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Governor, Godwin Emefiele, seeking to reclaim a massive real estate property comprising 753 duplexes and apartments in Abuja.


Justice Jude Onwuegbuzie, who presided over the case, upheld the final forfeiture of the estate located at Plot 109, Cadastral Zone C09, Lokogoma District, measuring over 150,000 square metres. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) had previously secured both interim and final forfeiture orders for the property in favour of the Federal Government.
