Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, has announced a broad amnesty initiative aimed at addressing insecurity by targeting cultists and illegal arms holders across the state.
Speaking during a meeting with leaders from Obagie, Oke-Oroma, and Amagba communities in Benin City, the Governor called on cultists willing to renounce violence to embrace rehabilitation. He also appealed to individuals in possession of unlicensed firearms and ammunition to surrender them in exchange for amnesty.
