The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has dismissed reports that its chairman, Ola Olukoyede, abducted and forced the Group Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), Bayo Ojulari, to resign.
According to EFCC sources who spoke with The Cable, the claim, which surfaced in an online publication on Saturday, is “ridiculous and mischievous.”
The report had alleged that Ojulari was detained by the EFCC on Friday and compelled to sign a resignation letter, with the Director-General of the Department of State Services (DSS), Adeola Ajayi, purportedly involved in the plot.
