The Federal Capital Territory Administration has intensified efforts to strengthen security presence in rural and border communities, as a major step toward fulfilling the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike’s pledge to decentralize policing and bring safety closer to the grassroots.
This initiative follows months of sustained insecurity that plagued several parts of the FCT between late 2023 and early 2024, when communities in Abaji, Kwali, and Bwari suffered repeated abductions, bandit incursions, and activities of kidnappers.
