The Federal Government of Nigeria, through the Federal Ministry of Water Resources and Sanitation, has reaffirmed its commitment to enhancing hydrological data management and climate services in the country through a strategic collaboration with AGRHYMET (Agriculture, Hydrology and Meteorology) Regional Climate Centre for West Africa and the Sahel (RCC-WAS), a specialized institution with permanent Insterstates Committee for drought control in the Sahel, based in Niamey, Niger Republic.
The Minister of Water Resources and Sanitation, Engr. Prof. Joseph Terlumun Utsev, made this known today when he received a delegation from AGRHYMET, led the Acting Director General of AGRHYMET, Dr. Baoua Issoufou in his office in Abuja.
