Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, has reiterated his commitment to financial discipline, declaring that his administration will only resort to borrowing when it becomes absolutely necessary.
Speaking on Wednesday in Umuahia during a public lecture to mark the second anniversary of his administration, Otti emphasized that reckless borrowing has no place in his government. The governor was responding to a lecture delivered by former Minister of Finance, Dr. Idika Kalu, who had urged the state to consider borrowing for development-oriented projects.
