Umma Kaltum-Ahmed, the State Commissioner for Health, described the action as a necessary step to ensure private health institutions meet established regulatory standards. She said the closure was designed to safeguard the quality of healthcare worker training and protect residents from substandard medical services.
The shuttered facilities were spread across four local government areas: Chikun, Igabi, Kaduna North, and Kaduna South, according to NAN.
The commissioner advised prospective students to verify that institutions are properly approved and accredited before enrolling, to avoid investing time and money in programmes that yield worthless certificates.
