The National Executive Council (NEC) of the Labour Party (LP), led by National Chairman Julius Abure, has issued a stern warning to the party’s former presidential candidate, Peter Obi, cautioning him against engaging in actions that could threaten the unity, peace, and integrity of the party.
In a statement released following the NEC meeting held Monday at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja, the leadership stated that Obi could face “stiffer penalties” if found complicit in any act capable of destabilizing the party.
