In a bid to strengthen grassroots security and modernise community policing, the Lagos State Government has recruited over 1,000 new officers into the Lagos Neighbourhood Safety Corps (LNSC), marking a significant step in its ongoing security sector reforms.
The announcement was made by the Commissioner for Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Relations, Mr. Olugbenga Oyerinde, during the 2025 annual ministerial press briefing held at the Bagauda Kaltho Press Centre, Alausa, Ikeja.
