LAPO MB appoints Aghimien to its board to spur growth

LAPO Microfinance Bank has announced the appointment of Edward Osayomwanbor Aghimien as a Non-Executive Director, as it expands its corporate governance and financial inclusion strategies.


Cynthia Ikponmwosa, managing director, LAPO Microfinance Bank, spoke highly of the appointment. “Aghimien would bring valuable perspective to the bank’s Board given his exposure to diverse industries and corporate environments,” she said.


Cynthia explained that the appointment aligns with the bank’s long-term corporate governance and growth strategy. According to him, LAPO MfB “remains focused on strengthening its institutional capacity, deepening financial inclusion and expanding access to responsible financial services for low-income households and micro-enterprises across the country.”
