During plenary in Abuja, Kumo emphasized that the violence has driven numerous residents from their homes, intensifying humanitarian challenges and escalating insecurity across the region.
The legislator characterized the incidents as a stark illustration of the escalating threat armed banditry poses to national security, underlining that protecting citizens’ safety and well-being is government’s fundamental duty under the 1999 Constitution (as amended).
