The group specifically referenced her conduct at the United Nations Female Assembly and her interviews with BBC News and Sky News, claiming these appearances constituted a deliberate affront to the sovereignty of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. “By now, she should know that her action at the United Nation Female Assembly, her conduct in BBC News and Skye News against the sovereignty of Federal Republic of Nigeria has posed her against the Nation,” the statement declared.

NEYGA further emphasized that Akpoti-Uduaghan’s inability to substantiate her allegations against the Nigerian state has only exacerbated her difficulties. They posited that her passport seizure at the airport is not a personal vendetta orchestrated by Akpabio but rather a legitimate matter of national security. “The group states that Natasha inability to provide evidence to substantiate her allegation further compounded her woe and that her passport seizure at the airport is purely that of National Security matters and has nothing to do with the Senate President,” Ibrahim elaborated.
