Navy seizes vessels, destroys illegal refineries in March operation

The Nigerian Navy announced the seizure of vessels involved in crude oil theft and the destruction of several illegal refining sites during Operation Delta Sanity II in March.


The Director of Naval Information, Commodore, Aiwuyor Adams-Aliu, made this disclosure in Abuja on Saturday, according to the News Agency of Nigeria.


He stated that on March 7, troops destroyed an illegal refinery in Oteghele, Delta State, confiscating 5,500 litres of stolen crude oil and 2,000 litres of illicitly refined Automobile Gas Oil.
