They were received by the Permanent Secretary of the Zamfara State Ministry of Works and Infrastructure, Engr. Haruna Dikko Gusau, reflecting the state government’s strong interest in unlocking the airport’s full potential.
The delegation identified particular opportunities in safety operations, air traffic control simulations, and aircraft handling — areas where access to a real airport environment would significantly strengthen NCAT’s curriculum and the practical readiness of its graduates.
Engr. Haruna Dikko Gusau welcomed the interest, reaffirming that Governor Lawal‘s administration views the airport as a driver of economic growth and regional integration. “We are not just building infrastructure; we are creating a hub for opportunity,” he said, adding that a partnership with NCAT would meaningfully advance human capital development within Nigeria’s aviation sector.Both parties are expected to hold follow-up discussions to formalize areas of collaboration, with the possibility of NCAT utilizing the airport for specialized training exercises and curriculum development in the near future.
