NCWS Kebbi Demands Ban on Girl-Child Street Hawking, Cites Exploitation and Abuse

The Kebbi State chapter of the National Council for Women Societies (NCWS) has called for an outright ban on street hawking by young girls, warning that the growing trend exposes children to dangerous and morally damaging situations.


Speaking during a recent press briefing, the State President of NCWS, Hajiya Hadiza Muhammed Kola, decried the increasing number of young girls seen hawking on the streets, describing it as a pathway to sexual exploitation, early transactional sex, and other forms of abuse.
