The National Examinations Council, NECO, has distanced itself from a fake Facebook account created in the name of its Registrar and Chief Executive, Prof. Dantani Ibrahim Wushishi.
The exam body warned that the account is being used with the intent to defraud unsuspecting members of the public.
In a statement issued by the Acting Director of Information and Public Relations, Azeez Sani, the Council alerted the public to the existence of the fraudulent account, urging vigilance to avoid falling victim to online scams.
