NEZA lauds unanimous calls for 10-year tax moratorium for FTZs

The Nigeria Economic Zones Association, NEZA, has applauded growing calls for a ten-year moratorium on the implementation of the National Tax Policy, NTA, within Nigeria’s Free Trade Zones, FTZs.


Executive Secretary of NEZA, Mr. Toyin Elegbede, in a statement, commended the Managing Directors of the Nigeria Export Processing Zones Authority, NEPZA, and the Oil and Gas Free Zones Authority, OGFZA, for leading sustained advocacy for tax holidays in the zones.


Elegbede described the position as bold, forward-looking, and timely, noting that it aligns squarely with NEZA’s longstanding concerns as articulated in the Association’s official press release of September 1, 2025.
