Nigeria wealth fund reports 59% growth in profit

The Nigeria Sovereign Investment Authority recorded a 59% increase in profit for the year ending in December, driven by higher earnings from investment securities and foreign exchange gains.


The profit reached 1.89 trillion naira ($1.2 billion), according to a statement emailed on Tuesday.


Founded in 2011, the NSIA manages and invests Nigeria’s revenue beyond the allocated crude oil earnings.
