The Nigerian National Petroleum Company, NNPC, Limited has issued a stern warning to the public to beware of impostors and fraudulent entities claiming to represent the company.
In a statement on Monday, the Chief Corporate Communications Officer of the company, Olufemi Soneye, disclosed that these fraudsters have been soliciting payments in exchange for arranging meetings with members of the NNPC board, executives, and senior management.
Soneye described such actions as both unauthorized and illegal.
