Lere Olayinka, the media spokesman for the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has confirmed that the suspended governor of Rivers State, Siminalayi Fubara, met with his principal last week.
Although, Olayinka refused to give full details of what was said in the meeting, insiders told journalists that Fubara was at Wike’s Abuja residence to plead for forgiveness and reconciliation.
The meeting reportedly occurred a few days after Fubara’s meeting with President Bola Tinubu in London over the Rivers political crisis.
