Obasanjo’s Library Was Not Our Target – EFCC Opens Up On Sting Operation

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has dismissed claims that the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library (OOPL) in Abeokuta, Ogun State, was the target of its recent sting operation in which 93 suspected internet fraudsters were arrested.


Papers News reports that the OOPL management had condemned the night operation and the arrest of guests at the guest house within the OOPL facilities, describing the operation as a calculated attack on ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo


The Library subsequently demanded ₦3.5bn in compensation and public apology within seven days, failing which it would go to court.
