The apex Igbo socio-cultural organization, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, has called on the Federal Government to embrace dialogue with nonviolent pro-Biafra leaders, describing it as a once-in-a-generation opportunity to resolve the long-standing Biafra conflict.
In a joint statement issued Tuesday by factional Deputy President-General Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro and National Spokesperson Chief Thompson Ohia, Ohanaeze urged the government to act with urgency and foresight. The group said that engaging with nonviolent agitators represents the best path to address longstanding grievances in the Southeast and ensure national stability.
