A pressure group within the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, “Fix PDP, Fix Nigeria,” has commended governors of the party and some prominent members for committing to the repositioning of the party.
The group noted that the governors’ stance on the disputed national secretary issue was a major step in addressing the lingering dispute following the Supreme Court ruling on the matter.
In a statement on Friday, Mr. Tunde Shola, a member of the group from Lagos State, noted that the decision of the governors recommending the appointment of the Deputy National Secretary South to replace the warring faction is a positive step to settle the lingering contention over the occupant of the office.
