The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Ward Chairmen Forum in Rivers State has issued a scathing letter to the state’s Sole Administrator, Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas Ekwe (rtd.), demanding an immediate halt to what they describe as unconstitutional appointments and a flagrant disregard for the rule of law.
In a letter signed by Comrade Collins Wobo Chukwu, Coordinator of the Forum, and addressed to the Sole Administrator, the group condemned recent appointments made into local government positions across the state. The forum argued that these actions are unlawful, violate the Nigerian Constitution, and ignore recent Supreme Court rulings that have reaffirmed the need for democratically elected local councils.
