Plateau State Governor, Caleb Mutfwang, has assured Defence Holdings Company Limited (DHCL) of his administration’s readiness to partner on the establishment of Defence Farms and Agro-Allied Products in Wase Local Government Area, with about 98,000 hectares of land identified for the project.

The assurance was given on Tuesday in Jos during a visit by the Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of DHCL, Air Vice Marshal Anthony Victor Ndace, who led a delegation to the Government House.

Represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Samuel Jatau, the governor said 30,000 hectares out of the 98,000 hectares would be used for the initial phase of the defence farms project, noting that the initiative would boost food production and enhance security in Wase and surrounding communities.
