‘Police Creating Impression That I’m Doing Fine’ – Sowore Demands Release

Human rights activist, Omoyele Sowore, has accused the Nigerian Police Force of creating a false impression about his health while in detention.


Papers News reports that Sowore made this known on Friday when the Commissioner of Police for Special Intervention Squad, CP Abayomi Shogunle, led some protesters and the press to meet with him in the police custody at the Force Headquarters in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).


In a live stream shared by Sahara Reporters on Facebook, Sowore said, contrary to the impression from the police that he was doing fine in custody, his hand had been broken.
