The Presidency, in a move to address mounting criticisms over alleged lopsided appointments, has released a comprehensive list of individuals appointed by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu since taking office. The list was made public by Sunday Dare, Special Adviser on Information and Strategy to the President.
Contrary to earlier claims by Dare that the South West had received 24 appointments, the released list revealed 29 appointees from the region. However, the absence of a key figure, Femi Gbajabiamila—appointed Chief of Staff on June 2, 2023—raised questions about the accuracy and completeness of the record.
