QNET has urged Nigerian authorities and the media to intensify the crackdown on fraudsters who have repeatedly misused its name to defraud young people, insisting that responsible direct selling must be separated from Ponzi schemes that have infiltrated the country’s informal economy.
Speaking at the QNET Product Workshop for Media held Friday in Lagos ahead of the company’s two-day product expo, Regional General Manager for Sub-Saharan Africa, Mr. Cherif Bassirou Abdoulaye, said the company has endured years of misrepresentation because criminal networks impersonate QNET to lure unsuspecting citizens with fake travel offers, job promises and non-existent investments.
