The House of Representatives has officially embarked on its annual recess, adjourning plenary sessions until September 23, 2025.
The decision was announced by the Deputy Speaker, Benjamin Kalu, during Wednesday’s closing session at the National Assembly Complex, Abuja. The motion to proceed after the two-month break was moved, seconded, and unanimously adopted by the lawmakers during the plenary session.
The Deputy Speaker urged members to use the break productively by returning to their various constituencies to engage with citizens, address pressing local concerns, and monitor ongoing federal projects.
