The House Committee on Public Assets, led by Chairman Hon. Dabo Ismail, has dismissed corruption allegations against the Nigerian Electricity Liability Management Company (NELMCO). The allegations were made by the Association for Public Policy Analysis (APPA).
The Committee found that NELMCO’s existence is backed by the Nigerian Electricity Act, 2023. “We asked NELMCO to provide us with documents backing their existence and they did,” said Hon. Dabo Ismail, Chairman of the Sub-Committee on the Protection of Critical National Assets.
