The House of Representatives Committee on Finance has proposed exempting military personnel in Nigeria from personal income tax.
The Chairman of the committee, Abiodun Faleke, announced this on Thursday during the review of four tax bills submitted by President Bola Tinubu in October 2024.
The proposal acknowledges the critical role of military personnel in national security but is still under legislative consideration.
