Reps To Bar Public, Civil Servants From Patronising Private Hospitals, Schools

The House of Representatives has begun deliberations on a bill that would bar public and civil servants, including their families, from attending private schools or using private hospitals.


Papers News reports that the proposal, which passed first reading during plenary, was introduced by the representative of Isuikwuato/Umunneochi Federal Constituency in Abia State.


The bill seeks to force government workers to rely only on public services for education and health care.
