Rivers Police Begin Probe As Officers Beat Civilians For Refusing To Pay ₦1 Million Bribe

The Rivers State Police Command has apprehended and detained officers involved in a viral assault incident.


The security agents allegedly assaulted some civilians who refused to pay a ₦1 million bribe demanded over an expired tinted glass permit.


According to the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Grace Iringe-Koko, the Commissioner of Police has ordered a full-scale investigation into the matter and assigned the CP Monitoring Team to handle the case.
