SERAP Urges Tinubu To Probe Alleged ₦128 Billion Diversion In Power Ministry, NBET

The Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) has called on President Bola Tinubu to launch an immediate and transparent investigation into allegations of over ₦128 billion allegedly missing or diverted from the Federal Ministry of Power and the Nigerian Bulk Electricity Trading Plc. (NBET).


The appeal was contained in a letter dated January 3, 2026, and signed by SERAP’s Deputy Director, Kolawole Oluwadare. The group referenced findings from the 2022 annual report of the Auditor-General of the Federation, released on September 9, 2025.
