The Chairman/CEO of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), Abike Dabiri-Erewa, has reported that approximately 200 trafficked individuals have been rescued from Ghana to date.
In a statement on Thursday, April 17, signed by the Director of Media, Public Relations and Protocols Unit NiDCOM, Abdur-Rahman Balogun, Dabiri-Erewa noted that three additional girls who had been trafficked to Ghana returned home recently.
She emphasised that the fight against human trafficking will remain ineffective unless the perpetrators and their accomplices are identified and publicly condemned.
